From the G-E-T Schools Food Service Director - Susan Jandt
Due to the above-mentioned waiver extension by the USDA all students in the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District will now be eligible to receive free meals as of Thursday Sept. 3rd. The free meals are also available to all other children in the community age 18 and under.
These meals must be ordered in advance. The meals packs will consist of one white milk and one chocolate milk and all of the components of a school breakfast and lunch. All components will be cold items not requiring heating before eating.
There will be three (3) pick-up sites for these free meals - one in each of our three communities. Families in each town can order the meals via email through the pick-up site in their community.
Each site will have a specific time frame during which the meals can be picked up.
**Meals that have been ordered must be picked up during these time frames in order to minimize COVID19 exposure for students. **
Parents are instructed to bring the child to the main entrance of their pick-up site during their pick-up timeframe and a food service employee will meet you there to distribute the meals.
** Meals must be ordered on a daily basis by 9:00am EACH DAY**
The sites, pick-up times and email addresses are as follows:
- Galesville pick-up site - Galesville High School - Pick-up time 1:30-2:00
- Ettrick pick-up site - Ettrick Elementary School - Pick-up time 12:15-12:45
- Trempealeau pick-up site - Trempealeau Elementary School - Pick up time - 12:30-1:00
*If a family does not have access to email, orders may be called in at 608-582-2291 ext. 1030
