Trempealeau Elementary 3rd–5th grade students shined on stage during their performance of A Kid’s Life, bringing music, laughter, and creativity to life. Before the show, families enjoyed a walk through of the student art show, showcasing the incredible talent and imagination of Trempealeau Elementary's young artists. We’re so proud of all our performers and creators!
Mrs. Shimek’s third graders enjoyed a class reward with “Flashlight Fort Reading”!! They were cozy in PJ’s and read with "stuffies" while they celebrated a long stretch of good behavior and the end of state testing!
Mrs. Bagniewski’s 2nd graders took full advantage of the outdoors! From playing games and exploring nature to curling up with a good book, these students made the most of a beautiful day.

Mrs. Shimek’s 3rd graders are enjoying their Book Clubs! They are noticing character traits & actions, and have started to compare characters from 2 different books that they’ve read together.
Second-grade students in Mrs. Bagniewski's class took flight into learning as they researched different birds for a special class project! From colorful feathers to unique bird calls, these young scientists explored fascinating facts about their chosen birds and shared their discoveries with their classmates.
2nd graders in Mrs. Purvis' class completed a fun project during our science unit on landforms this week. In science, second graders are learning about landforms and processes that shape the earth. First, we built mountains, bluffs, and volcanoes with salt dough. After they dried, we painted our creations and added details.
Second graders in Mrs. Purvis' class took a field trip to Perrot Park as part of their informational writing unit on Wisconsin birds! Students explored the natural habitat of local birds, observed wildlife up close, and gathered details to enhance their writing.
Trempealeau Elementary students kicked off Kindness Dress-Up Days by being a rainbow in someone else's cloud! They showed their spirit by dressing in their best St. Patrick’s Day gear, spreading joy and kindness all around.
Third graders in Mrs. Shimek and Mrs. Stegemeyer's class wrapped up their reading of Because of Winn-Dixie with a special movie celebration! 🎬🐶 Students enjoyed egg salad sandwiches, pickles, 'litmus lozenges,' and 'dump punch'—just like in the story! The room was even decorated with pictures of dogs to bring the party to life. What a fun way to celebrate a wonderful book! 📖✨
Fifth graders at Trempealeau Elementary have been researching their favorite authors and learning about their author's craft by analyzing the author's work and style of writing. As a final project, the fifth graders sent letters to their authors! They will be patiently waiting to see if their favorite authors send a response back.
Mrs. Stegemeyer's 3rd graders took on the challenge of designing windproof houses! After learning about tornadoes, hurricanes, and dust storms, they built paper house models and tested ways to make them stronger. With teamwork and creativity, they engineered some awesome storm-ready designs! #FutureEngineers #STEMfun
