Mrs. Stegemeyer's 3rd graders played a fraction game where they practiced matching the visual fraction model to the name of the fraction.
Trempealeau Elementary students had an unforgettable day at Bruce Mound, enjoying tubing, skiing, and snowboarding! A huge THANK YOU to the Trempealeau PTO for sponsoring this fantastic trip—it was a perfect way to embrace winter fun and adventure!
Last night, Trempealeau Elementary 2nd graders took the stage at the PTO meeting to present a special proposal—sponsoring raptors from River Valley Raptors! With enthusiasm and well-prepared arguments, they shared why these amazing birds deserve our support and how it connects to their learning.
Their passion paid off! The PTO was persuaded to donate funds to sponsor three raptors—Cash, Winnie, and Cyrus!
Our hallways were filled with kindness, friendship, and lots of heart-shaped fun! Students exchanged valentines, created festive crafts, and enjoyed sweet treats with their classmates. It was a wonderful day to celebrate love and appreciation for one another.
Ms. Hafner's Kindergarten class was in the Valentine's Day spirit by creating valentine's to share with local residents.
Mrs. Thompson's 5th graders put their learning with decimals into action by turning their classroom into a restaurant! Everyone had the chance to play the role of a server while their "customers" ordered from menus from local businesses. Servers had to calculate the total cost of the meal and figure out how much change to give back once paid. The customers checked their server's math every step of the way to make sure they were being charged the appropriate amount and received the correct change back. Some of our servers ended up having V.I.P. customers that were very hungry and demanding. Once the server's job was complete, the customers made sure to tip their servers for their job well done!
Students at Trempealeau Elementary celebrated the 100th day of school with excitement and learning! From fun activities to creative projects, our students showed just how much they've grown in the past 100 days.
Mrs. Shimek’s and Ms. Hafner’s students got together for some fun buddy time. We counted Valentine hearts and played Tic-Tac-Toe!
Mrs. Purvis' class had lots of fun celebrating reaching a goal! They were able to build blanket forts and flashlight reading today!
We were thrilled to host our 4K Open House and welcome the next generation of Red Hawks! Families explored classrooms, met our fantastic staff, talk to members of our PTO, and got a glimpse of the exciting learning adventures that await.

This week, Trempealeau Elementary had the pleasure of honoring our January PBIS winners with a special Red Hawk Breakfast! These outstanding students were nominated because they were safe, respectful, and responsible throughout the month of January.
Trempealeau Elementary 5th graders have been researching hot debate topics, such as phones in schools, animal testing, homework, and more! Throughout their research, they have been learning about what goes into an effective and convincing argument to create their own arguments. 5th graders presented their claim/thesis, reasons, evidence, and possible counterarguments with rebuttals by recording their arguments on Seesaw.
Ms. Hafner's Kindergarteners and Mrs. Shimek's 3rd graders had some fun buddy time together while they practiced addition skills.
Thank you to the Trempealeau Lions Club! They visited Trempealeau Elementary to conduct vision screenings for our students. We are so grateful for their dedication to ensuring our kids can see and learn to their fullest potential.
5th graders in Mrs. Manix's class dove into an exciting hands-on science activity! They designed and created their own sundials, then tested them to tell the time based on the sun's position in the sky.
Mrs. Shimek's 3rd graders have been studying the 7 Continents and 5 Oceans in Geography. Through their learning, they made their own balloon globes! 🌎
Trempealeau Elementary is thrilled to share that we’ve donated $1,900 to the G-E-T Community Food Pantry! This contribution was part of the funds raised during our Holiday Penny Challenge.
Mrs. Bagniewski's 2nd graders teamed up with Mrs. Thompson's 5th graders to publish their state park research. The fifth graders used their keyboarding skills while the second graders read their research and writing to them. The completed typed reports will be printed and produced to create a Nonfiction State Park Guide.
Mr. Lovell's class met with Ms. Thompson's class to create their Vision Boards for 2025.
