Welcome to the Food Services Department. Our mission is to provide nutritious, delicious, and appealing meals that fuel our students' learning and growth. We are dedicated to promoting healthy eating habits and ensuring that every student has access to balanced and wholesome food.

Our responsibilities include:

  • Meal Planning and Preparation: Designing diverse and nutritious menus that comply with national and state nutrition guidelines, and preparing meals with high-quality ingredients.

  • Breakfast and Lunch Programs: Offering well-balanced breakfast and lunch options daily to support students’ health and academic performance.

  • Special Dietary Needs: Accommodating students with food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special nutritional requirements to ensure everyone can enjoy safe and healthy meals.

  • Nutrition Education: Educating students about the importance of healthy eating and making nutritious choices through various programs and initiatives.

  • Cafeteria Management: Maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming dining environments where students can enjoy their meals and socialize.

  • Community Engagement: Partnering with local farmers, suppliers, and organizations to source fresh, local ingredients and support our community.

Our goal is to create a positive dining experience that not only nourishes students but also fosters a love for healthy eating. The Food Services Department is committed to contributing to the overall well-being and success of our students by providing meals that support their physical and academic development.

We support the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District’s mission of teaching by providing a guaranteed level of performance that assures that all foods available in our schools are consistent with recommended dietary allowances and the dietary guidelines and when consumed, contribute to the development of lifelong, healthy eating habits.
