🌟Celebrating School Social Work Week! 🌟

At the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District, we are incredibly grateful for our dedicated Student & Family Support Coordinator, Madalyn Lake, who serve as a vital bridge between school, home, and the community.

How she supports our G-E-T students:

✅ Building Relationships: She fosters strong, supportive connections that help students navigate social and emotional challenges.

✅ Crisis Intervention & Support: She provides immediate assistance and long-term strategies for students experiencing high-needs situations or mental health crises.

✅ Connecting Families: She assists families in accessing essential community resources to ensure every student is ready to learn.

✅ Advocating for Success: She work alongside teachers and staff to develop proactive strategies that promote student self-determination and engagement.

Please join us in thanking Madalyn Lake for her compassion, expertise, and commitment to our students' well-being! ❤️

Today our juniors spent the day focused on ACT Prep!

Students rotated through sessions designed to strengthen skills in each of the tested areas, along with dedicated time for testa taking strategies and guidance on ACT registration. The goal is simple and clear, something our students hear often from Mr. Oliver: exceed the performance of previous years.

In Wisconsin, all juniors take the ACT, and we are proud of the intentional preparation our students and staff put into making this day meaningful.

While performing well on the ACT is important, our focus goes far beyond a single test. At G-E-T High School, we are committed to innovative learning experiences that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving skills that give our students an advantage when they leave our doors. Today was about building confidence, sharpening skills, and preparing for opportunities ahead.

Thank you to our staff for leading impactful sessions and to our juniors for embracing the challenge. We are excited to see their growth on assessment day and beyond!

10 G-E-T instrumental students participated in Dorian Honor Band at Luther College over the past two days. In 24 hours these students worked with students from across the Midwest in two different bands, learning pieces they performed in a concert Monday night. Great job, Red Hawks! Way to represent our district!

Last night, we had the joy of welcoming our youngest families to our Bright Beginnings Family Fair and we couldn’t be more excited for these little ones to join our GET family in the years to come!

Stations featured activities around gross motor skills, hands-on sensory play, and language activities as well as information for parents on toilet training, social-emotional regulation and local community resources, like Birth to 3 and Head Start. Free play and parent networking, complete with dinner were more highlights at this community event. It was a wonderful evening filled with laughter, exploration, and connection.

Thank you to Mike's Bar for supplying the pizza and to Birth to 3, Head Start, Galesville Public Library and Children's WI for your partnership in this event.
