Greetings incoming freshmen and parents!
The Red Hawk Flock, which is our high school’s mentorship program, is hosting Freshmen Orientation. The date for this is Thursday, August 22th, 9:00 am until 11:30 am at GET High School. Parents can either drop off their students, or the district is providing transportation. The routes for transportation can be found at the bottom of this page.
A snack will be provided by the school district. Schedules will also be given out on this day so that they can find where their classes are, and locks for lockers will also be given out. (If your child is unable to attend, they can pick their locks up on registration day.)
The students will be grouped with other freshmen, which is who they will be with for all four years of high school for advisory time. This day will help the groups foster a sense of community and camaraderie with each other, as well as participate in team building activities that help create a sense of belonging. The Red Hawk Flock Leaders assigned to them on orientation day will also be meeting with the freshmen groups throughout the year to check in and lead similar activities during advisory time. All students should wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to be outside, weather permitting.
We look forward to meeting everyone!
Mr. Oliver and The Red Hawk Flock supervisors and members

Science Club and Bio 105 students taught the kindergarten students about different animals, plants and ecosystems in Perrot Park this afternoon. All of the kids, big and little, were wonderful, engaged and learning. It was fun to watch the older students teach!
