The US 50 States - Map Quiz Seterra

CONNECTION: When we learn about volcanoes, weather, earthquakes, etc. it is advantageous for students to have an awareness of the states and where they are located.

Cooking & Baking Together

CONNECTION: A major component of the Scientific Method is following a procedure. This process looks similar to following a recipe with proper measurements, identifying key materials/ingredients, and conducting a step-by-step process until the very end. Take it a step further and discuss chemical reactions that occur in the process of baking!

Utilize a Weather App

CONNECTION: In 6th grade, students learn how to analyze weather maps, and identify weather trends across the country. In 8th grade, students learn about the moon phases and eclipses, which can also be tracked on the Weather App.
