Welcome to Tech Ed I

In Tech Ed One students work on precise measurements down to 1/16''. While in a classroom setting, they'll complete their own hand drafting using T-squares, rulers, and drafting boards. Once their done, they will carry on with those skills and move into the workshop where they will make their own stools. In the creation process students get to choose their own "logo" to put on the sides of the stool. After completing Tech Ed One, they will have experiencing using a drill press, band saw, palm sanders, and air nailers.

Tech Ed II

Tech Ed II starts with 3D modeling using the program Onshape. Students complete blueprints then extrude them to give a three dimensional perspective. This allows them to rotate the part and see all sides. Then they will complete a cube project in which they have to design a puzzle cube on Onshape and then it will be printed with the 3D printers. Upon completions of this project students transfer into a boat build in the shop in which they use a 9V electric motor, styrofoam and propellor to build a boat that will be tested at Arctic Springs. Finally, students complete a sign project using a router, sanders, and bandsaw.
