
Middle School Band Members performed at Solo & Ensemble Contest this past Saturday. All of their hard work has paid off as all of our musicians earned the highest rating of 1. A special thanks to Kathy Meunier for accompanying the soloists.

Middle School FCS 7 students put their culinary skills to the test by creating Baked Alaska's from scratch!

.There is still time to purchase your student a G-E-T Middle School yearbook. The cost is $25 with options for personalization. Yearbooks may be ordered online at Order G-E-T MS Yearbook or you may send cash or a check written to G-E-T Middle School with your student to the middle school office.

The last day to order a yearbook is February 20.

Students took time from their fun day last Friday to help make Christmas cards for the elderly.








On Wednesday, December 18th the eighth grade students traveled to Western Technical College for a career day. During the event, students heard from several speakers talk about their career field.




Congrats to our Caught Being Good Winners. We had an extra drawing this month for students that allowed them to put their tickets in for a gift card to the Station and Create Happy. Way to go middle school students!


In our 7th grade Business 1 class, young entrepreneurs were tasked with creating a product or service that solves everyday problems. Ideas ranged from products to help them in sports, a handyman service, ways to spice up your water, and many more!

The 6th Grade science classes took a field trip to the Centerville Curling Club on Thursday. They have been learning about force, motion, and Newton's Laws of Motion. We had a fantastic day learning about these concepts! A huge thank you to the Centerville Curling Club for allowing us to visit and for teaching us how to curl!










8th Grade Social Studies
In US history class, students re-enacted the Battle of Bunker outside the school with a sock war. The battle objective, strategy, and story of the battle were told, and then students got to throw socks at each other. This week students are writing 1st person perspective journals about the battles, contributions, and reasons for fighting in the Revolutionary War (not pictured).

Introducing....... The League of Energy Superheroes!
In 6th grade science, the students have been creating stories about superheroes. We have been learning about different types of energy and how it is transferred. The students have been creating superheroes with powers that connect to different forms of energy. The students had to explain the superpowers connection to the energy type.











This year, the middle school is recognizing outstanding student effort, behavior and ability by giving out Student of the Term awards. Each term, teachers nominate different students, discuss what they did ,and then select from each grade level. Students then get a chance to call home to tell their family and enjoy a family celebration breakfast. Way to go students.

In Family and Consumer Science 2 (FCS-2)class, students are mastering the art of recipe writing by creating their very own copycat Crumbl Cookies! Chocolate Oreo, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Chocolate Caramel, and Chocolate Strawberry Raspberry, which will be the class favorite?

Middle school students in Business Explore enjoyed giving “Shark Tank Pitches” to their classes on businesses they created that solve everyday problems. Businesses ranged from an app that decides your dinner for the night, a streaming service for all sporting events, glasses that protects you from the things/people behind you, and so much more!











There was a lot of excitement in 6th grade science today as it was "Build Day"! The students are working on creating balloon cars which they will trial run and race this week! We have had a variety of ideas and concepts for these cars! Here are some of the build day photos.
